What is Jasberry®?

Jasberry is a new variety of rice developed over a decade by one of the world’s finest rice science researchers. It is non-GMO, 100% organic and dark purple in color.

Why is it called Jasberry?

The name Jasberry reflects the properties of this special rice. ‘Jas’ refers to the delicious taste of Thai Jasmine rice, and ‘Berry’ reflects the powerful antioxidant benefits, similar to those of berries. Jasberry is a delicious and healthy rice!

Do you mix something in the rice?

The rice is 100% natural and 100% organic. It is pure and unprocessed.

How is it different from other rice?

Jasberry’s special trait is its antioxidant content, which has been tested by a globally renowned nutrition lab and found to contain amazing levels of antioxidants such as Anthocyanin, Vitamin E and beta-Carotene.
This is considered to be the highest among all types of rice.*

Jasberry Rice has 40 times higher antioxidants than Brown Rice, 3 times higher antioxidants than Red Quinoa and 7 times higher antioxidants than Kale. What’s more? If you eat one meal of Jasberry per day you will meet the US Department of Agriculture’s recommended daily allowance for antioxidants!

Which of the two lovely colors – Purple or Orange – is for me?

Purple (Jasberry Rice) offers powerful natural antioxidants and is always our favorite. Orange (Jasberry Mix) is a healthy blend of your favorite brown rice with Jasberry rice.

However, several Jasberry consumers have found that by trying both of them, they developed a certain taste preference for one more than the other and end up consuming that color regularly. They incorporate Jasberry as an integral part of their everyday healthy diet as it is an easy substitute for any brown or white rice-based dishes.

What about the small-scale Jasberry farmers?

Siam Organic is a social enterprise that works closely with North-eastern Thai farmers (currently over 2,500 households) to make sure that the farming methods are purely organic, safe for consumers and good for the environment. We aim to help the small-scale farmers to have a sustainable living from organic farming. Parts of the proceeds go towards helping such cause.
