Siam Organic was honored to be recognized earlier this week as a finalist in the Inclusive Business category at this year’s ASEAN Business Awards in Manila, Philippines. Sponsored by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, the annual ASEAN Business Awards recognize outstanding ASEAN enterprises and spotlight small- and medium-sized enterprises that have the potential of becoming global economic players in their respective industries.
The Inclusive Business category highlights outstanding business models that sustainably create social impact through the company’s core business operations. Nominated business models demonstrate financial viability, positive impact on poor and low-income people and communities, innovation within the value chain, and scale and replicability of the business model to alleviate poverty and inclusion problems.
Siam Organic was recognized alongside two other inclusive businesses in the small enterprise category, Batik Boutique (Malaysia) and Coffee for Peace (Philippines). Inclusive business finalists in the medium-sized enterprise category included KP Co. Ltd (Laos), Olam International (Singapore), and Erikagen Inc. (Philippines).
Additionally, Siam Organic’s Business Development Manager, Clint, had the opportunity to share about Siam Organic’s social business model during the Inclusive Business Finalist Storytelling session at the Inclusive Business Summit that took place the day before the ASEAN Business Awards.
